Bareilly Violence Witness Claims Plot to Kill Him
A man named Mohammad Firdaus Khan, who helped the police during violent clashes in Bareilly last year, says some people are trying to kill him.
He claims they hired a man named Furqan to do it for Rs 5 lakh.
The police have caught Furqan and are questioning him.
Firdaus says the accused, including a local leader named Anees Saklani, are angry because he helped the police identify them.
They allegedly threatened him and demanded money.
The violence in Bareilly happened last September after a protest turned chaotic.
The accused are in jail, and the police are investigating.
Mohammad Firdaus Khan, a key witness in Bareilly violence, alleges a plot to kill him by nine accused, including Anees Saklani and his family.
Firdaus claims the accused hired a contract killer, Furqan, for Rs 5 lakh to kill him, with part of the amount paid as advance.
The alleged plot was hatched inside jail, where Yasmeen Jahan met Anees Saklani and others to plan the killing.
