CMHO Suspended Over Corruption Allegations in Mandsaur

In Mandsaur, Madhya Pradesh, the Ujjain Divisional Commissioner suspended the Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO) Dr. Govind Singh Chauhan due to allegations of corruption and financial irregularities.

An inquiry committee, led by Mandsaur Collector Aditi Garg, investigated complaints from public representatives, officials, and the media.

The suspension was based on evidence of unauthorized payments, delays in tenders, and irregularities in hospital approvals.

Dr. Chauhan's nephew, Jaydeep, was also mentioned in the report.

The CMHO will remain attached to the Collector's Office during the suspension, and Dr. RK Dwivedi has been given additional charge of the CMHO post.

Separate investigations into other irregularities in the health department are also underway.
