Vijay Deverakonda’s UNHYPE skincare startup sells out, earns ₹1.3 crore
Vijay Deverakonda helped start a skincare company called UNHYPE.
The company sold 10,000 skincare kits in two weeks.
Altogether, the kits contained 30,000 products.
People pre-booked the products and paid ₹1.3 crore.
The kits include face wash, moisturiser and sunscreen.
Customers could choose Acne Safe or brightening versions.
Vijay said he did not have much skincare knowledge or access when he was young.
He wants UNHYPE to make simple products that work and are affordable.
He also said he personally uses and tests the products every day.
UNHYPE sold all 10,000 units of its initial VD Signature Routines launch within two weeks.
The launch represented 30,000 products across face wash, moisturiser and sunscreen kits.
Pre-bookings for Acne Safe and brightening variants generated ₹1.3 crore in revenue.
Regular sales were scheduled to begin on October 3.
