Protests Erupt Over Hindu Man's Lynching
A Hindu man named Dipu Chandra Das was killed by a mob in Bangladesh.
This made many people in India very angry, and they protested outside the Bangladesh High Commission in New Delhi.
The protesters wanted the Bangladesh government to punish the people who killed Das and to protect Hindus in Bangladesh.
The Bangladesh government said the killing was an isolated incident, but many people, including US lawmakers, think it's part of a bigger problem.
The Indian government and the Bangladesh government are also having some disagreements about how to handle the situation.
The protests in India were big, and some people even broke through police barricades.
The situation is tense, but both countries are trying to keep things under control.
Dipu Chandra Das, a 25-year-old Hindu garment worker, was lynched and his body set on fire in Mymensingh, Bangladesh, over alleged blasphemy.
Hundreds of protesters from VHP and Bajrang Dal demonstrated outside the Bangladesh High Commission in New Delhi, demanding justice for Das.
The protests turned violent as demonstrators broke through police barricades, leading to clashes with security forces.
Bangladesh summoned the Indian High Commissioner to ensure the security of its missions in India and to prevent attackers from fleeing to India.
The Bangladesh government labeled the lynching as an 'isolated incident,' while international lawmakers and Indian protesters view it as part of a broader pattern of violence against religious minorities.
