Silver nears record high amid ETF inflows
Silver prices are very high, almost reaching their highest point ever.
This is because many investors are putting their money into silver exchange-traded funds (ETFs), which means they believe silver will keep going up in value.
The Federal Reserve might lower interest rates soon, which is good for silver because it doesn't pay interest like bonds do.
There was also a big event in London where people who bet against silver had to buy it quickly, pushing the price up even more.
Gold is staying about the same, and other metals like platinum and palladium are also being watched closely.
The rupee is getting weaker against the dollar, making gold and silver more expensive in India.
Silver traded near its all-time high, reaching around $59.90 an ounce internationally and Rs 1,85,234 per kg domestically.
Total holdings of silver-backed ETFs increased by nearly 590 tons last week.
Investors expect the Federal Reserve to lower interest rates this week, supporting silver's rally.
Gold prices remained steady at $4,200.25 an ounce internationally and Rs 4,200.25 per 10 grams domestically.
Platinum gained while palladium prices were steady, and the rupee depreciated by 16 paise to 90.11 against the US dollar.
