Yogi Attacks Pre-2017 Recruitment, Highlights Uttar Pradesh Hiring

Yogi Adityanath, the leader of Uttar Pradesh, spoke at an event where new government workers received appointment letters.

He said government hiring before 2017 was unfair and involved corruption, favoritism and leaked exam papers.

He blamed earlier governments for making Uttar Pradesh a “BIMARU,” or poorly developed, state.

These accusations were made by Adityanath, and the articles did not include a response from the previous government.

He said the current government has given jobs or government-service opportunities to more than 9.5 lakh young people since 2017.

He promised appointment letters for 1 lakh more young people within six months.

One report said 912 police recruits received letters at the event.

Adityanath also described changes to police training, technology and infrastructure.
