Narendra Modi Becomes Top 5 Most Followed on X, Surpassing Bieber and Rihanna
Imagine X, like a giant online party where everyone shares updates.
Narendra Modi, the leader of India, has become super popular at this party, now being the fifth most invited guest!
He has more friends (followers) than famous singers like Rihanna and Justin Bieber.
He even has more friends than the past US president, Donald Trump, and is getting close to catching up to him.
Narendra Modi uses this online party to share important news about India and talk to people all over the world, not just in his own country.
It shows that nowadays, leaders and important people are becoming more popular online than movie stars or musicians.
Narendra Modi is now the fifth most-followed account on X (formerly Twitter) with 108.6 million followers.
He has surpassed pop stars Rihanna and Justin Bieber in follower count.
Modi trails Donald Trump (#4) by 2 million followers and is significantly behind Elon Musk (#1) and Barack Obama (#2).
His follower count has grown substantially, reaching 100 million in 2024 and increasing to over 108 million by October 2025.
The trend indicates a shift in online popularity, with world leaders gaining followers while some celebrities are losing them.
