Humayun Kabir Seeks TVK Tie-Up Against Minority Persecution

Humayun Kabir Seeks TVK Tie-Up Against Minority Persecution

Humayun Kabir leads a political party called AJUP in West Bengal.

He says he wants to meet Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay after the Rejinagar election.

Kabir hopes his party can work with Vijay’s party, TVK, but he says AJUP will remain independent.

He says he wants to speak out against what he calls unfair treatment of minorities.

He also plans to meet BJP leaders in New Delhi to complain about the BJP’s state unit.

Kabir says police have harassed his party workers and made arrests without reason.

The ruling party rejects his claim that the police are acting for the BJP.

Kabir’s son is running in the Rejinagar by-election, where several parties are competing.
