Goa CM Reverses Doctor’s Suspension Order Amid Controversy
The Health Minister in Goa, Vishwajit Rane, wanted to suspend a doctor, Dr. Kuttikar, after a patient complained about his behavior at the hospital.
The Minister felt the doctor wasn't treating patients well.
However, the Chief Minister, Pramod Sawant, stepped in and said the doctor wouldn't be suspended right away.
The Chief Minister is looking into what happened to make sure everyone in Goa gets good medical care, and also supports the work of the doctors.
Goa Health Minister Vishwajit Rane ordered the suspension of GMCH Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Dr. Rudresh Kuttikar.
The order followed a surprise visit by the Minister to the Goa Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).
Rane reportedly confronted Dr. Kuttikar over patient complaints of alleged misbehavior.
Chief Minister Pramod Sawant overruled the suspension, pending a fair inquiry.
