Kerala Minister Denies Rift Over Govt Pleader

Kerala Minister Denies Rift Over Govt Pleader

There was a disagreement in Kerala, India, about who should be appointed as a government pleader.

The Kerala Students Union (KSU) didn't like that a former leader of another student group, SFI, was chosen.

The Chief Minister, V D Satheesan, said the choice was based on merit.

The Home Minister, Ramesh Chennithala, said any issues within the party would be discussed and resolved.

He also talked about a successful anti-drug campaign called Operation Toofan and mentioned that the security for the former Chief Minister, Pinarayi Vijayan, is being reviewed by a committee.
