Bank of Maharashtra OFS Opens for Retail Investors
The Bank of Maharashtra is offering some of its shares to the public through an OFS.
The government wants to sell up to 6% of its shares, but if there's a lot of interest, they might sell even more.
Retail investors can buy these shares starting on Wednesday, 3 December.
They need to use their trading or demat accounts to place bids.
The price for each share is at least ₹54.
The government currently owns 79.60% of the bank, and after the OFS, they will own less than 75%.
Analysts think the bank's shares could be worth more in the future.
Retail investors can participate in Bank of Maharashtra's OFS starting Wednesday, 3 December.
The OFS follows a robust response from non-retail investors, with the issue subscribed 400% over the base size.
The government has decided to exercise the green shoe option, allowing the sale of additional shares if demand is high.
Retail investors must place bids through their trading or demat accounts, specifying the number of shares and bid price.
The government aims to divest up to 6% of its stake, reducing its shareholding from 79.60% to below 75%.
