Delhi Approves Cybercrime Centre to Combat Online Offences

Delhi has created a new police centre to deal with crimes committed online.

The centre is called the Delhi Cyber Crime Coordination Centre, or D4C.

It will help prevent, find and investigate cybercrimes.

These crimes include online money scams, harassment and ransomware attacks.

It will also handle crimes against women and children.

The centre will look at online radicalisation and cyber sabotage too.

D4C will work under the Delhi Police and the Commissioner of Police.

A senior Joint Commissioner of Police will lead it.

The move comes as online offences are rapidly increasing.
