P&G India Launches Water Conservation Project in Telangana
P&G, a company that makes many products, is working to save water in India.
They have a special project in a place called Telangana to help farmers use water better.
They are using a new technology called SWAR that delivers water directly to the soil, like giving plants a drink through a straw.
This means less water is wasted on the surface.
This project covers 100 acres of farmland and is done with help from other environmental groups.
It aims to save groundwater, help crops grow better, and ensure the community has enough clean water.
P&G believes that saving water is important for the environment and for the people living in these areas.
P&G India has launched a new water conservation project in Telangana as part of its Water Positive Future Strategy.
The project utilizes SWAR irrigation technology across 100 acres in the Musi-Krishna River Basin to conserve groundwater.
SWAR technology integrates with drip irrigation to deliver water directly into the soil, minimizing waste and increasing efficiency.
P&G India is partnering with the Bonneville Environmental Foundation and the Center for Environment Concerns (CEC) for this initiative.
The project aims to enhance agricultural productivity, strengthen community resilience, and restore water in water-stressed regions.
