ECI Starts Delisting Process for 345 Inactive Political Parties
The Election Commission of India (ECI) is removing 345 political parties from the official list because they haven't been active.
These parties haven't participated in any elections since 2019, and the election commission couldn't find their offices.
The goal is to clean up the system, ensuring only active parties are registered.
The election commission will notify these parties and give them a chance to explain themselves before making a final decision.
ECI is starting the process to delist 345 Registered Unrecognized Political Parties (RUPPs).
These parties haven't contested any elections since 2019.
The offices of these parties could not be located.
