Manjira Pipeline Leak Disrupts Hyderabad Water Supply
There was a big leak in a water pipe called the Manjira pipeline that brings drinking water to Hyderabad.
This leak stopped water from reaching many places like Beeramguda, Ameenpur, and Miyapur.
The people who fix pipes are working hard to repair it and say it will be done by Saturday afternoon.
Because of the leak, the big office of the city government, called GHMC, is also having trouble with water.
They are using water trucks to help, but it's not enough for all the toilets and sinks.
The workers there are bringing extra water bottles to use.
A major leakage in the Manjira Phase-2 pipeline disrupted water supply to several areas in Hyderabad.
Affected areas include Beeramguda, Ameenpur, Miyapur, and others under O&M Division numbers 6, 9, 17, and 22.
Emergency repair works are underway, with completion expected by Saturday afternoon.
The GHMC head office is facing severe water shortages, requiring 15 water tankers daily.
The HMWS&SB cited maintenance issues as the cause of the water supply disruption.
