Mumbai Prime Home Prices Rise 6.2%, Rank Eighth Globally

Mumbai’s most expensive homes became 6.2% more valuable over the year ending in the second quarter of 2026.

This placed Mumbai eighth among the cities tracked by Knight Frank.

Bengaluru and New Delhi also ranked among the world’s top 20 markets.

Tokyo had the biggest increase, with prices rising 50.7%.

The global luxury-home market grew 2.6% overall.

However, not every city saw prices rise.

Beijing, Toronto, Wellington and London recorded declines.

Knight Frank said local housing supply, currencies, wealth and interest rates helped explain the differences between cities.
