Rupee strengthens 11 paise against US dollar
The Indian rupee got stronger and went up by 11 paise to close at 96.25 against the US dollar.
This happened because India got a lot of money from foreign investors, about USD 20.72 billion, through a special program by the Reserve Bank.
The rupee had lost some value the day before, but it made up for it today.
The money coming in was mostly from foreign deposits and loans.
The US dollar was a bit weaker, and oil prices went up, which also affected the rupee.
Some people think this is good news, while others think it might not last because of problems in the world and higher oil prices.
