Govt tightens Ayush drug quality checks, e-commerce norms

The government has taken several steps to improve the quality and safety of Ayush drugs, which include Ayurvedic, Siddha, Sowa-Rigpa, Unani, and Homoeopathy medicines.

They have set up a special team in the Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO) to check the quality of these drugs.

There is also a scheme that gives special marks to drugs that meet high-quality standards.

The government has also launched a portal where people can report any misleading advertisements or bad reactions from these drugs.

E-commerce platforms are now required to ask for a valid prescription before selling Ayush drugs.

All of these steps are to make sure that the drugs people buy are safe and effective.
