HBO Max Appoints Acquisitions Chiefs for UK and Italy Launches
HBO Max is getting ready to launch in the UK, Ireland, and Italy.
To prepare, they've hired top people from other companies to find the best shows and movies for the service.
Sasha Breslau, who is known for finding popular shows, will be in charge of the UK and Ireland.
Alessandro Volpato, who has experience working on content for Amazon, will be in charge of Italy.
Both will start in early 2026 to make sure HBO Max has lots of great content when it launches.
Sasha Breslau from ITV will become Vice President Content Acquisitions for HBO Max in the UK & Ireland.
Alessandro Volpato from Prime Video will become Director of Acquisitions for HBO Max Italy.
HBO Max is launching in the UK, Ireland, and Italy in early 2026.
Breslau will report to Ragnhild Thorbech, SVP of Programming & Acquisitions, EMEA.
Volpato will report to Joana Silva, VP of Programming & Acquisitions.
