Air India Logo Removed From Nariman Point Building

Air India Logo Removed From Nariman Point Building

A tall building at Nariman Point used to display Air India’s famous red and yellow logo.

Workers carefully removed the logo from the top of the building.

Eight labourers did the work while standing on scaffolding high above the ground.

The job took six days and ended on September 2.

This removed the last visible Air India markings from the skyline.

The building now belongs to the Government of Maharashtra.

New signs will show the name of the new owner.

The government took control of the building after paying Rs 1,601 crore.
