Telangana High Court Sets Aside IPS Trainee Potency Examination Order
A lower court had allowed investigators to ask for a medical test of trainee IPS officer M Uday Krishna Reddy.
The test was connected to a criminal case against him.
Reddy challenged that decision in the Telangana High Court.
Justice Jaggannagari Srinivas Rao overturned the lower court’s order.
The High Court said the prosecution had not followed the relevant legal principles.
This means the approved test cannot go ahead under that order.
Prosecutors may still ask the court again if they follow the law.
Reddy remains suspended and in judicial custody, while his request to cancel the FIR is still pending.
