Hyderabad Traffic Jams Turn Daily Commutes Into Major Nightmare
Many roads in Hyderabad are becoming crowded with too many vehicles.
The traffic is worst in the morning and evening.
Cars parked illegally and blocked roads make the problem worse.
People going to work or school can spend hours in traffic.
Some commuters have to leave home much earlier than before.
Ambulances can also get stuck, which may delay patients from reaching hospitals.
Cab drivers and delivery workers lose money because they complete fewer trips.
Residents want authorities to improve roads, control parking and manage traffic better.
Traffic congestion on nearly all major Hyderabad thoroughfares is causing hours-long delays, especially during peak periods.
Increasing vehicle numbers, illegal parking, road encroachments and junction bottlenecks are worsening congestion.
Office workers, students and other commuters say they are leaving home earlier but still arriving late.
Traffic jams are delaying ambulances and patients travelling to hospitals for urgent medical care.
Commuters and transport workers are calling for better enforcement, infrastructure, public transport and traffic management.
