India Inc. Backs Trans Employment Mela 2025 for Inclusion
Imagine a job fair, but it's only for people who are transgender or don't identify as male or female.
That's the Trans Employment Mela!
It helps connect these individuals with companies that want to hire them.
Many big companies are sponsoring the event, showing they support fairness in the workplace.
The goal is to help 100 people find jobs, and it's a way of making sure everyone has a fair chance, regardless of their gender identity.
The event also has workshops and networking sessions, showing companies how to make their workplaces welcoming and inclusive to all.
The Trans Employment Mela (TEM) is scheduled for June 18, 2025, in Delhi.
The event aims to facilitate 100 job placements for transgender and non-binary individuals.
Leading Indian corporates, including Publicis Sapient and The Lalit Suri Hospitality Group, are sponsoring the event.
The Mela is organized by the TWEET Foundation and InHarmony, in collaboration with the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment.
Last year's event resulted in 77 placements across more than 20 companies.
