India, Canada Begin Fourth Round of Proposed Trade Pact Talks

India and Canada are holding another set of meetings about a possible trade agreement.

This is the fourth round of talks.

The meetings are scheduled to last five days, from September 14 to September 18.

The countries are discussing goods, services and rules for trade.

They want to finish the negotiations this year.

They also want their trade to reach USD 50 billion by 2030.

Trade between them fell during 2025-26 compared with the previous year.

India sells products such as medicines and electronic goods to Canada, and buys items such as pulses and coal from Canada.
