Oil PSU Stocks Dip as Crude Prices Rise Above $90
Oil companies in India, like HPCL, BPCL, and IOC, saw their stock prices drop a little when the price of oil went up.
Oil prices went up because the U.S. and Saudi Arabia attacked groups in Iraq that were linked to Iran.
The U.S. warned Iran it would retaliate after a missile attack on a U.S. base in Jordan.
This made oil traders nervous, so oil prices jumped, and the companies’ stocks fell a bit.
HPCL, BPCL, and IOC shares fell about 1% after crude prices rose above $90 per barrel.
Brent crude climbed to $92.22 and WTI to $84.89 amid U.S. military action against Iran.
The price jump followed a sharp rally on Wednesday, the biggest single‑day rise since the Iran conflict intensified.
U.S. President Donald Trump warned of severe retaliation after a missile attack on a U.S. base in Jordan.
The U.S. and Saudi Arabia carried out joint strikes on Iran‑backed groups in Iraq, ending a brief pause in U.S. strikes.
