Uttarakhand's Economy and Per Capita Income Grew Significantly in 25 Years: CM Dhami
Imagine a state celebrating its 25th birthday!
The leader of Uttarakhand said that the state has become much richer over these 25 years.
Its overall money-making ability, called the economy, is now 26 times bigger than when it started.
Also, the average amount of money people earn, called per capita income, has grown 17 times.
The state is also spending a lot more money on its plans now, with its budget being over 1 lakh crore rupees this year, compared to just 4,000 crore rupees in the beginning.
Many people are getting health cards, and fewer mothers are sadly passing away during childbirth.
Lots of women are becoming financially independent, and older couples are getting more pension money.
Big projects are also happening, like rebuilding holy places and building new roads and train lines.
The state is also trying to help villages and border areas stay populated.
Special events with the President and Prime Minister are planned to celebrate all these successes and think about the future.
Uttarakhand's economy has grown 26 times and per capita income 17 times in the 25 years since the state's formation.
The state's budget outlay has exceeded ₹1 lakh crore for the first time, up from ₹4,000 crore in its initial budget.
Significant progress includes 58 lakh Ayushman cards distributed, a decline in maternal mortality ratio to 91, and over 1.65 lakh women benefiting from the Lakhpati Didi scheme.
Key developmental projects include reconstruction of Kedarnath, master plan for Badrinath, Delhi–Dehradun Elevated Road, and Rishikesh–Karnaprayag Rail Line.
