Nintendo to Increase Original Switch Prices in the US
Nintendo is making its older Switch game consoles more expensive.
This means you'll likely have to pay more if you want to buy an original Switch, Switch OLED, or Switch Lite.
Nintendo says this is because of how things are in the market.
Some accessories, like certain toys, will also cost more.
However, the price of the new Nintendo Switch 2 and games will stay the same for now.
This follows a similar price increase already happening in Canada.
Nintendo will increase prices for its original Switch consoles and some accessories in the US.
The price changes, starting August 3, 2025, are attributed to "market conditions."
Price increases likely affect the standard Switch, Switch OLED, and Switch Lite models.
Accessories like amiibo figures are also expected to increase in price.
Pricing for the newer Nintendo Switch 2, games, and online memberships will remain unchanged.
