Google Pixel 11 Pro's HiLight Brings Back Notification Light
Google has made new phones called the Pixel 11 Pro and Pixel 11 Pro XL.
These phones have a special glowing light called HiLight.
The light can change colours and patterns to tell you what the phone is doing.
When you ask Gemini, Google's helper, a question, the light shows whether it is listening, thinking, or answering.
You can also give your favourite people their own colour.
When that colour glows, you know they are calling you.
Google says more light features are coming later, like telling you about messages from close friends.
The goal is to let you know what is happening without always looking at your screen.
That way, you stay connected but not distracted by your phone.
Google's new HiLight feature on Pixel 11 Pro models revives the notification light using coloured LEDs and patterns.
HiLight uses different colours and patterns to show whether Gemini is listening, processing, or responding to a request.
Users can assign custom colours to important contacts for incoming calls to recognise callers without checking the display.
Google confirmed more HiLight capabilities are coming, including message notifications from favourite contacts.
The Pixel 11 Pro starts at approximately ₹1,19,999 and the Pro XL at ₹1,34,999, with retail availability from August 20.
The Pro models also feature a 3,600-nit display, upgraded cameras, up to 120x Pro Zoom, and the Tensor G6 chip.
