Maharashtra to Launch New School Curriculum in 2025
Maharashtra is starting a new school program to help young kids get ready for first grade.
This new program uses fun games and activities to teach kids aged 3 to 6.
The program will be in special centers called anganwadis.
Teachers in these centers will get new training and materials to help them teach.
The goal is to make sure kids are ready for school when they turn six.
Some people are discussing if the training for teachers is long enough and when kids should start the program.
Maharashtra is launching a new school curriculum in 2025-26, following the National Education Policy 2020.
A new early learning framework, Aadharshila, will be introduced in over one lakh anganwadis.
The curriculum aims to prepare children aged 3-6 for Grade 1 with a play-based approach.
Anganwadi workers will receive new training materials and undergo specialized training programs.
Concerns have been raised regarding the proposed certification duration for anganwadi workers and entry age in nursery.
