Apple Patent Hints at Camera Control for Future iPads

Apple Patent Hints at Camera Control for Future iPads

Apple has filed a patent describing a new button-like control for portable devices.

Most of the pictures in the patent show iPads.

The control could sense light touches, swipes, and stronger presses.

It would use sensors to figure out where the user pressed.

A separate switch could react when someone presses harder.

The control might also provide a small vibration, called haptic feedback.

It resembles the Camera Control feature on the iPhone 16 series.

However, filing a patent does not mean Apple will definitely put the feature in an iPad.
