Lenskart Shares Debut on Exchanges, IPO Oversubscribed

Lenskart, a company that sells glasses and contact lenses, is going to start selling its shares on the stock market today.

Its big sale of shares before the public, called an IPO, was very popular, with people wanting to buy almost 29 times the number of shares available.

They already got a lot of money from big investors before the public sale even started.

This initial sale, which included both new shares and some shares being sold by existing owners, raised a total of over 7,000 crore rupees.

The company raised a significant amount from big investors called anchor investors even before the public could buy shares.

The shares are expected to start trading on both the Bombay Stock Exchange and the National Stock Exchange today.

Investors could buy shares in a price range between Rs 382 and Rs 402.
