Youths Restore 14th Century Temple in Haradanahalli
A group of young people in a village decided to fix up a very old temple that was falling apart.
They formed a group and, because the government wasn't providing money, they worked hard to clean and fix the temple.
They got help from other villagers and spent money to fix the building.
The temple is made of stone and has some special artwork.
They also help kids with their homework in the hall.
People from different backgrounds helped with the renovation of the temple.
Now, it looks much better.
The renovation cost a lot of money which the villagers and other people have provided to the temple.
Youth in Haradanahalli village renovated the 14th-century Sri Venugopalaswamy temple.
The renovation was undertaken by the Sri Vinayaka Bhakta Mandali due to lack of government funds and prior maintenance.
The temple, built of stone, is located 6 km from the district headquarters and has a rare south-facing Anjaneya temple.
Villagers, including teachers and a police officer, contributed financially and through volunteer work (Shramadaan).
