Electronics Scheme Approves Projects Worth INR 5,500 Cr

The Indian government approved seven projects to manufacture electronic components like circuit boards and camera modules.

These projects are part of the Electronics Components Manufacturing Scheme (ECMS), which aims to boost local production and reduce reliance on imports.

The selected companies will invest INR 5,500 Cr, creating over 5,100 jobs.

The new facilities will manufacture components used in various electronics.

The scheme also includes incentives such as tax breaks.

The government hopes this will help India become a major player in electronics manufacturing by 2032.
