Sebi forms tech roadmap working group for MIIs
The Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) has created a special team to plan how to use new technologies in the stock market.
This team will think about how to use things like artificial intelligence, blockchain, and cloud computing in the next five to ten years.
The team includes experts from different parts of the stock market and will help make sure the Indian stock market stays strong and competitive.
They want to make sure the market is ready for the future and uses the best digital tools available.
Sebi has formed a high-level working group to develop a technology roadmap for Market Infrastructure Institutions (MIIs).
The group will focus on both short-term (five-year) and long-term (10-year) strategies.
The roadmap will cover emerging technologies like AI, machine learning, blockchain, cloud computing, and more.
The group is chaired by D B Phatak, Professor Emeritus at IIT Bombay, and includes various experts from the capital market.
The initiative aims to make the Indian securities market future-ready, resilient, and globally competitive.
