ADB Revises India's Growth Forecast for FY26 to 6.5%
The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has slightly lowered its prediction for how much India's economy will grow in 2026.
They now expect 6.5% growth instead of the previously predicted 6.7%.
This change is because of worries about international trade and new taxes from the US that could affect Indian exports and investments.
Despite this, India is still expected to be one of the fastest-growing economies.
The service and agriculture sectors are expected to help the economy grow.
For the following year, 2027, the growth is expected to improve to 6.7%.
ADB lowered India's growth forecast for FY26 to 6.5% from 6.7%.
The revision is due to trade uncertainty and higher US tariffs.
