Singapore Tops Responsible Nations Index
Former President Ram Nath Kovind launched a new global index called the Responsible Nations Index (RNI) in New Delhi.
This index ranks countries based on how well they take care of their people, the environment, and the world.
Singapore was ranked first, while India was ranked 16th.
The index was developed by the World Intellectual Foundation (WIF) with help from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) and the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) in Mumbai.
It looks at three big things: how countries treat their own people, how they care for the planet, and how they act towards other countries.
The goal is to encourage countries to be more responsible and fair, not to create competition.
The index uses 58 indicators to measure these aspects.
Singapore ranked first in the Responsible Nations Index (RNI) launched by former President Ram Nath Kovind in New Delhi.
India secured the 16th position in the RNI, while Pakistan was ranked 90th, China 68th, and the US 66th.
The RNI evaluates countries on ethical governance, inclusive development, and moral responsibility.
The index is anchored in three core dimensions: internal, environmental, and external responsibility.
The RNI was developed by the World Intellectual Foundation (WIF) in collaboration with JNU and IIM Mumbai.
