Niphad Dry Port to Become Major Multi‑Modal Logistics Hub
A meeting was held in Nashik between the district collector and a top JNPT official to talk about a new big logistics park called the Niphad Multi‑Modal Logistics Park.
This park will help ships, trucks, trains and planes move goods in and out of India more easily.
It will also be a place where farmers can store and ship their crops.
The park will connect to major roads, an airport and the railway network.
JNPT will help make it easier for local businesses to export goods, and they will join a committee that plans export activities.
The project is expected to create jobs and grow Nashik’s economy.
District Collector Ayush Prasad met JNPT Vice Chairman Ravish Kumar Singh to discuss the Niphad Multi‑Modal Logistics Park.
The park will function as an EXIM cargo hub and an integrated domestic logistics park, boosting Nashik’s transport and warehousing.
It will link Nashik–Chennai Highway, Nashik Ring Road, Samruddhi Mahamarg, Ozar Airport and the railway network.
Plans include connecting local agricultural produce markets and the central grain storage scheme to the dry port.
JNPT will join the District Export Promotion Committee and simplify export procedures for local industries.
