Delhi Police Arrests 350 in New Year Crackdown
The Delhi Police conducted a big operation called Operation Aaghat 3.0 to make sure people are safe during New Year celebrations.
They arrested 350 people who were suspected of doing bad things.
They also took away illegal weapons, lots of money, illegal alcohol, drugs, and stolen items.
The police wanted to stop crimes from happening during the festivities.
They also arrested people who steal cars and recovered many stolen mobile phones.
This operation was to ensure that everyone can enjoy the New Year safely.
The police plan to do this operation every month to stop criminals from causing trouble.
Delhi Police arrested 350 accused and detained 966 persons in a preemptive crackdown ahead of New Year celebrations.
Operation Aaghat 3.0 seized 21 pistols, 27 knives, 20 live cartridges, 27 vehicles, 12,258 quarters of illicit liquor, Rs 2.36 lakh in cash, and 6 kg of cannabis.
The crackdown targeted known crime hotspots and suspects linked to organized gangs, with 1,306 individuals rounded up under preventive measures.
Five auto-lifters were arrested, and 231 two-wheelers and one four-wheeler were seized to dismantle vehicle theft networks.
The police recovered 310 stolen or lost mobile phones and Rs 2.36 lakh in cash from gamblers.
