Indian Stocks Rally as FMCG, Banking Shares Lead Gains

Indian share prices rose on Wednesday morning.

The Sensex and Nifty, two major market measures, both gained about 0.7%.

Investors bought shares in consumer goods, banks, cement companies and automakers.

These purchases helped the market recover.

Some technology, healthcare and pharmaceutical shares fell instead.

Experts warned that high US bond yields and crude oil prices could still hurt markets.

Foreign investors have sold Indian shares for five straight sessions.

Investors are also waiting for the US Federal Reserve’s interest-rate decision and guidance.
