Police Charge Sheet Details Alleged Lohagad Fort Murder Plot
Police have filed a very large report about the death of Ketan Agarwal.
They say he was pushed from Lohagad Fort in June.
His fiancée, Siya Goyal, and two other people have been accused.
Police allege the group first considered hiring someone to hurt him.
They later allegedly planned the killing themselves.
Investigators say they watched films, listened to podcasts and studied another murder case.
Police also allege that an earlier attempt to push Agarwal failed.
They say a fake Instagram account helped bring him to the fort, where his death could look like an accident.
Police filed a 5,053-page charge sheet naming Siya Goyal, Chetan Chaudhary and Ritesh Hange as accused in Ketan Agarwal’s death.
Investigators allege Agarwal was pushed from Lohagad Fort on June 18 after an earlier attempted push on June 14 failed.
Police say the accused considered hiring someone, then allegedly planned the killing themselves after studying murder-related material and the Meghalaya honeymoon murder case.
Investigators allege Goyal and Chaudhary scouted locations near Lonavala and chose Lohagad because the death could appear to be an accidental fall.
Police say a fake Instagram account named “Mahi” lured Agarwal to the fort, while digital evidence and statements from more than 100 witnesses were submitted.
