India Targets Semiconductor Fabs and 10% of Global 6G Patents

India wants to build eight or nine factories that make computer chips.

One of these factories is planned for Assam.

The country is also working with Indian technology institutes to help shape rules for future 6G networks.

India hopes to hold 10% of the world’s patents for 6G technology.

These plans were discussed at a symposium in New Delhi about technology, quality and India’s development.

Business leaders said companies should make quality part of everyone’s work.

They also discussed improving infrastructure, manufacturing and skills.

The event’s industry group signed a cooperation agreement with a German university.
