UNESCO, CBSE, and NCERT Collaborate on School Wellness Programs
Imagine schools getting better at helping students be healthy, both in their bodies and minds.
UNESCO, along with CBSE and NCERT, are working together to make this happen.
They're training teachers to teach kids about important things like emotions, staying safe online, and healthy habits.
They have special guides and videos in different languages to help.
The goal is to train many teachers to help millions of students.
The government launched this initiative to give students more holistic and preventive approaches to well-being.
UNESCO, CBSE, and NCERT are expanding school wellness programs in India.
A capacity-building workshop was held to train master trainers for the School Health and Wellness Programme (SHWP).
The SHWP aims to reach approximately 15 million adolescent students across 30,000 CBSE-affiliated schools.
The curriculum covers 11 core themes, including emotional well-being and safe internet practices.
Over 40,000 teachers have been trained through 754 capacity-building programs.
