Supreme Court Allows Gymkhana Members to Approach High Court

Gymkhana Club members have been allowed by the Supreme Court to take their complaint to a High Court.

Their complaint concerns the Centre’s alleged attempt to take control of the club.

The members say this effort has continued for more than 25 years.

They also say the effort is more than an ordinary landlord dispute.

The club is currently managed by people nominated by the government.

The members are challenging whether that management is legally valid.

That question is already pending in a Supreme Court civil appeal.

The High Court may now consider the takeover-related case.
