Asian Games 2026: Cricket Teams and Fixtures Announced
The Asian Games 2026 will feature cricket tournaments for both men and women.
For the men's event, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka get to skip the first round and go straight to the knockout stage.
Six other teams—Afghanistan, Hong Kong, Japan, Malaysia, Nepal, and Oman—will compete in two groups to earn the remaining spots.
The women's tournament will have eight teams starting directly in the quarter-finals.
All matches will be played in the T20 format in Nagoya.
India won gold in both men's and women's cricket at the 2023 Asian Games.
India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka receive direct entry to the men's knockout round.
Six other teams compete in qualification rounds for the men's event.
