Bombay HC Allows Mumbai Airport to Terminate Celebi's Contract
The Bombay High Court has allowed the Mumbai airport to end its contract with a Turkish company called Celebi.
The court previously told the airport not to choose a new company, but then changed its mind because another court in Delhi had already decided against Celebi in a similar case.
India's aviation security revoked Celebi's security clearance because of national security concerns.
Celebi is still trying to fight the security clearance cancellation in court.
In the meantime, Celebi has lost access to the airport.
Another company is now doing the work.
Bombay High Court allowed Mumbai International Airport (MIAL) to terminate Celebi's contract.
The court set aside an earlier order preventing MIAL from finalizing tenders for ground and bridge handling services.
Delhi HC dismissed Celebi’s petition against contract termination and security clearance revocation.
BCAS revoked Celebi's security clearance due to national security concerns.
Celebi's petition challenging security clearance revocation is pending before Bombay HC.
