Ujjain Shifts 150 Buses as Dewasgate Stand Closes

Ujjain is closing the Dewasgate bus stand on October 12 because construction is planned for an elevated road corridor.

About 150 buses will move to the Nanakheda bus stand.

More than 300 buses already use Nanakheda, so people are worried that there may not be enough room for parking.

Extra buses could also make nearby roads and residential areas busier.

During construction, trucks can load and unload in Daulatganj only late at night or early in the morning.

A route near Hariphatak will also close.

People going to Mahakaleshwar Temple will be sent along a different route.

The municipal corporation plans to provide more parking, drinking water, toilets and sanitation facilities.
