Ambani succession plan faces scrutiny over Vantara wildlife sanctuary

Ambani succession plan faces scrutiny over Vantara wildlife sanctuary

Anant Ambani runs a very large animal rescue center called Vantara in India.

The center has many animals from different parts of the world.

Some conservationists questioned whether all of the animals were truly rescued.

Vantara denied those accusations.

India’s Supreme Court said the center had followed relevant laws when acquiring animals.

However, judges also warned that importing animals from the wild could still be cruel.

Vantara now says it will carefully check every future acquisition and stop importing certain endangered animals from their natural homes.

This may help protect the Ambani family’s reputation while the next generation prepares to lead Reliance.
