60 Seconds Fast, 120 Seconds Slow: Military Cardio Method

60 Seconds Fast, 120 Seconds Slow: Military Cardio Method

Imagine you are playing a game where you move fast for one minute, then move slowly for two minutes, and keep repeating that.

That is the 60:120 cardio method.

'60' means 60 seconds of faster movement, and '120' means 120 seconds, or two minutes, of slower movement.

It is similar to exercises used by soldiers and athletes to train their bodies to work hard and then recover.

This kind of workout can make your heart, lungs and muscles stronger, so everyday things like climbing stairs feel easier.

It does not automatically make you burn a lot more calories than other exercises, though.

If you want to lose weight, you still need healthy food and overall activity.

Beginners can start by walking quickly for one minute and walking slowly for two minutes.

You should always warm up first so your body is ready to move.

If you are sick or unsure about exercising, ask a doctor first.
