Eye Donation Awareness Rally Highlights Vision Benefits in Visakhapatnam
Many people have eye problems that affect their vision.
Donated eyes can help some people see again.
V Meenakshi said one person’s eyes may help up to four people.
An awareness rally was held in Visakhapatnam to encourage eye donation.
The rally began at RK Beach and ended near the YMCA.
Doctors explained that eyes should be donated within six hours after death.
They also asked people to tell their families about their wish to donate.
More programmes will be held until September 8.

The rally travelled from the Kalimata temple at RK Beach to the YMCA.

The fortnight’s programmes will continue until September 8, with pamphlets and public awareness activities planned.
