Two cops fight over dowry case report
Two police officers in Odisha got into a fight at their police station.
The fight started because one officer, who was in charge, asked the other to prepare a report about a dowry case.
The other officer didn't like how he was asked and they started arguing.
The argument turned into a physical fight.
The police boss found out and moved both officers to a different office while he looks into what happened.
He said he will take action after he gets a report about the fight.
Two police officers, Inspector-in-charge Debashis Satpathy and assistant sub-inspector Prakash Kumar Singh, fought inside the Akund police station in Jajpur, Odisha.
The fight was over the preparation of a closure report for a dowry case filed by a woman from Basudevpur village.
The altercation began when the IIC asked the ASI to submit the report, and the ASI allegedly responded in a high voice, leading to heated exchanges.
The Superintendent of Police transferred both officers to the district police headquarters and ordered an inquiry into the incident.
The SP stated that necessary action would be taken once the inquiry report is received.
